Bharat Electronics Ltd. expects a potential order of up to Rs 40,000 crore from Project Kusha, the indigenous alternative to the S-400 air defence system. The company said it is working as a development partner with the Defence Research and Development Organisation on the project.

“We are the development partner with DRDO and are developing jointly so many subsystems of Kusha, mainly different types of radars and control systems,” Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain said during the march quarter earnings call.
