A Mexican Air Force Northrop F-5E Tiger II aircraft suffered an incident due to the damage to its Right MLG during its landing on Monday on the runway of the Chihuahua International Airport, that houses the Military Air Base No. 13.

According to the Ministry of National Defense of Mexico, the aircraft from Air Squadron No. 401 was carrying out training activities when it had a puncture in one of its tires at the time of landing.

Indian Navy today formally inducted and named the Ancient Stitched ship as INSV Kaundinya at a ceremonial event held at Naval Base, Karwar in Karnataka. Minister of Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presided over the event as the Chief Guest, marking the culmination of an extraordinary project that celebrates Indiaโ€™s rich shipbuilding heritage.

INSV Kaundinya is a stitched sail ship, based on a 5th century CE ship depicted in the paintings of Ajanta Caves. The vesselโ€™s construction was undertaken using a traditional method of stitching by a team of skilled artisans from Kerala, led by master shipwright Shri Babu Sankaran. Over several months, the team stitched wooden planks on the shipโ€™s hull using coir rope, coconut fibre and natural resin. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ
