Incredibly gorgeous photographs of nature it self.

The images' description in order:

1. First full-colour Image of deep space
2. The Carina Nebula
3. Stephan’s Quintet

Here are comparisons of the pictures we used to have using the Hubble telescope 🔭 to the ones we just got using the James Webb Space Telescope.

This image might just be pretty stars and galaxies for you but let me just shed some light on it.

These stars and galaxies named SMACS 0723 are 4.6 billion light years away. That means they're soooo freaking far away that the light took 4.6 billion years to reach the telescope. That means what you are looking at is literally the past, literally the universe 4.6 billion years ago.

Also looking at the past means some galaxies and stars might not be there anymore too.

The size of this picture put in scale is just mind f*cking!! 🤯

The James Webb Space Telescope's Next Targets Are Potentially Mind-Blowing

Massive black holes, shattering galaxy mergers, luminescent binary stars emanating smoke signals, and even marvels closer to home like Ganymede, an icy moon of Jupiter.

Holy Jesus! 🌌

Also the image I used in this post is the official poster for the JWST. 🔭

James Webb Space Telescope's new image of the Cartwheel Galaxy, which is about 500 million light years away from us

The first photo is the combined data from two James Webb sensors, NIRCam and MIRI. The second picture shows only the information taken from the NIRCam sensor.

James Webb Space Telescope's images of the king of our solar system, Jupiter.

With giant storms, powerful winds, auroras, and extreme temperature and pressure conditions, Jupiter has a lot going on. Now, NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has captured new images of the planet.
