I was scared of the dark before 4th year, terrified actually, all my friends and family know, it was so obvious. So obvious that my dormmates and family play so many pranks involving darkness.

What was scary for me is what if something or someone is there that I can't see. What if the devil can touch me when the lights are off and so and so.

People justify their lack of fear saying that it's just the absence of Photons but that never helped me. Cause I'm not going around every minute being scientific when I know for sure that I heard something in the dark lol

Honestly what helped me is knowing that even in the dark, a place where I can't rely on my vision, God can see. That's it. Often times even if there was a demon in the darkness, and even if I was able to see it there's nothing I could've done, I just wanted to see what killed me uk lol

But knowing for sure, that God isn't blinded when the lights are off, knowing that God is watching my back even when I give my back to the dark room, knowing that angels surround me and make sure I'm safe even when I'm alone in a dark home gives me so much peace.

Since that day on, bruh, I would just absolutely flourish in the dark lol Ik it's something small, but hope this helps someone.
