When I set the goal of 100,000 ETB for this campaign I was very nervous and I could also see the scare it sparked on the faces of my team. But we didn't hold on to that fear, we went right into planning and executing it. Then God stepped in and on the first week almost 60% of our goal was reached which blew our minds.
We even slowed our campaign down cause we had made lots of graphics and planned lots. But it just kept on pouring.
Two years ago, we fundraised 25,000 Birr, then last year it was 45,000, Finally this year we have hit and surpassed our goal of 100,000 Birr🥳
The joy in me and the team is sooo genuine, you've NO idea how happy this made us. We have so many plans on how to help people in a sustainable way than just giving them money, and this is going to be so helpful for our plans.

The fact that Slavery wasn't abolished mainly because of moral change or some revolution but because of Economic reasons is so wild to me.
The economic reason was that maintaining a Slave might seem easy and affordable for a short time, but in the long term it was very expensive cause you'd be taking care of (feeding, clothing, protecting managing) so many people and their families.
