Went to Fili Coffee @ Lafto today. • https://maps.app.goo.gl/VgrUgRya4kWUoYVh7 It was very aesthetic and cozy. The people were very nice, the coffee and food (Beef Roll) tasted nice. The incense was too much but it doesn't disturb you, infact I actually…
I had a weird moment yesterday at Fili Coffee.

The place is very cultural. Infact you get so immersed in the cultural art, wood and coffee ceremony and stuff.

Then as I was working, I searched something up on Perplexity and it was a bit of a complex question and the ai went on reasoning and searching and the UI was complimentary to that and it hit me.

I literally felt like I was someone from the future. Just sitting there and staring, offloading the research task to it while I turn and talk to my friend while sipping coffee was a very strange moment.

I felt disconnected and relaxed. I felt a bit more social and alive too. Something I really didn't expect from AI.

Nvm, it came.
Btw I think it's wholesome seeing these things. It makes me think I have a super positive influence which's wonderful.

My only argument is that it's just better to put up scripture and other Christ related images on your profiles so that whomever sees it gets to watch something God related.
Anyways, here's a collection of profile worthy pictures. Enjoy these delicacies.

What's Dagmawi Babi without the gap tooth right?!

I saw another classic movie a day ago btw. Normally I give myself one or two days before I post about it here. (And for books an entire month)

Anyways, here's my review...
Okay first let's talk about power rangers.

You know how when you were a kid watching Power Rangers, you had thought that there were more logical things in the background but watching it as an adult you realize how the only thing properly done were the character clothing and everything behind was just giant rocks and repeated fire.

Well this movie definitely honored kids and put the details even tho kids will never perceive it.
The Wizard of Oz' from 1939

This one surprised me so much. I actually really like it. It was very wonderful and hypnotic. To be honest not only did I feel like I was back in time, but I also felt like I was living in a different universe.

There are some scenes that were spectacular specially the tornado scene right at the beginning. It was wonderful. Infact I didn't think the movie had color and got so invested right off the bat that I was gonna watch it without color.

Then the set and costume design was crazy epic. They went all out. Normally you'd expect like 5 or at max 10 costumes to be made for the characters but nah my guy, they'd have like 20+ costumes with full of gadgets and weapons and stuff.

Now I only have one objection, which's that the movie was made for kids but the characters even scared me. Even the friendly ones (the lion) had the most realistically nightmare fueling makeup and costume (they used actual lion skin and fur btw) so I wouldn't show this to kids tbh.

The movie has a lot of issues from a productions POV, from repeated accidents to using harmful makeup, from using cancer causing chemicals to bad treatment of the cast. But they didn't know any of this back then and even the bad treatment of the cast ended peacefully and also was considered to be the norm.

But from an audience perspective, the story and the visuals were epic and enjoyable every single second of it. Highly recommended.
