TL;DR

I recently watched my first black-and-white classic, 12 Angry Men (1957), and was impressed by its unique visual style and theatrical, almost one-take feel. The story revolves around 12 jurors deciding the fate of a young Spanish-American accused of patricide.

While the film’s courtroom drama and character dynamics are compelling, I found the jurors’ reasoning frustratingly biased on both sides, with questionable skepticism applied unevenly.

Despite some outdated habits like constant smoking and hygiene issues, the movie’s cultural vibe and legal lessons resonate, making it a classic—though for me, it’s more “mid” than masterpiece.

This is pretty much the most logically sound line in the movie 😂
