Due to the Cornovirus, Our I-Shine Sunday program takes place via phone conferences.

Yesterday each location received their own conference number where they each enjoyed an exciting program.

Boro Park - had an interview with Moshe Kraus of the Yiddish Nachas Choir. They then listened to Burich Turner who personated Lipa Schmeltzer. Yossi Green and Yehonason Schwartz among other Singers and story tellers.

Williamsburg – story time with story teller Meyer Solomon

Monsey – story time with Story teller Mordche Weinberger.

Monroe – Volunteers and kids had an open disscussion and Q&A about the virus by R’ Yoel Wurtzberger.

Over 250 I-Shine kids called into their locations conference call and many other family members joined it.

Special Thanks to all volunteers, coordinators and guests that joined to make this happen.

Due to the temporary suspension of Respite, we are continuing to entertain the kids by setting up volunteers for every child to speak with everyday, via Video Calls, phone calls etc. The volunteers give them a fun, good time during such a challenging time. The Achim B’Yachad coordinators are on top of making sure no child is left out.

A huge shout out to our wonderful volunteers for checking in daily on the children throughout this whole time. As part of the Achim B’Yachad covid-19 respite program, hundreds of hours of video/phone calls were made in the last few months to keep the kids busy and entertained while our volunteers weren’t able to visit them personally at home or hospital.

Every year on עשרת ימי תשובה we take our teenage siblings to several קברים to daven for their sibling for a רפואה שלימה.

Let’s all have in mind all those precious kinderlech who are suffering so much. May we be זוכה to a sweet and healthy year!

As we're approaching the shloshim of our beloved Luzy Sperber ע״ה we'd like to share one of the many happy moments Luzy ע״ה had throughout this rough journey.

Luzy was struggling with a brain tumor for over a year, going through multiple treatments, radiations and surgeries while Achim B'yachad - Chai Lifeline volunteers were at his bedside 24/7.

In December, when Luzy ע״ה was released from the hospital after having major surgery, Luzy ע״ה was surprized with a beautiful Birthday Party, being picked up with a Limo to the party where his whole class, his rebbe and volunteers awaited him to welcome him back.

An exciting program was organized with hot food, refreshments, music by Don Stern, Yossi Eidlisz and Efraim Hoffman followed by a science show by Mier Licht.

Luzy ע״ה received a huge birthday gift and was giving out gifts for his classmates.
