Warcry For Art
So a little rat has told me that some of you Flufftails know how to do art. In fact some of you have already drawn me in all my fuzzy glory! It's so awesome and honestly I would love more. In fact I know Tyde is looking for a design to go on... wait a t-shirt? Oh yeah you have to wear those.. so yeah a T-Shirt!
Clearly any art of my fluffy figure is more than welcome, but anything to do with Wild North would be amazing as well. If you have questions or want to submit some art go give Tyde a poke. Don't bother me with it, best I can do is stick figures.
If you are going to submit then give them to Tyde by August 11th. The Art will be used for printing for the con

Ok for those eagle eyed fuzzies among you you may have spotted on the schedule an event called the Kubb Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
For those who don't know it its a viking lawn game of knocking down your opponents' towers before finishing off the king. (There's a link on the website with more details)
This is a team event and we're asking people who are interested to sign up ahead of the con.
We need 4 teams of three players (and yes fursuiters can play and are indeed encouraged! One suiter per team)
So gather your raiding party, pillage your enemies' towers and topple the king!
Message Tyde with team sign ups heh and we look forward to some interesting team names!

Small change to the schedule: check-out on Monday 30 Sept has been brought forward slightly to 11am. This is to give the venue time to get things ready for the next group. Please bear this in mind if you're booking transport on the Monday, and apologies for any inconvenience. Although for those of us going to Beamish, it does mean we get there an hour earlier!
Website will be updated this weekend.

Wild North 2019 - Pre Arrival Newsletter
Hello! There's not long until Wild North 2019 gets underway. To make sure everyone is prepared, here are a few things to remember.
Proof of Age
Wild North is an 18+ event, as agreed with our venue and insurers. Anybody found to be under 18 will need to leave the venue at their own expense. To make your check-in as easy as possible (and possibly save yourself a long trek home from a remote location), please bring some government-approved proof of age. This must show your name, photograph, and date of birth, and these details must match your registration.
This can be:
- Passport
- Driving Licence (full or provisional)
- Any card with the Home Office PASS logo
- Government-issued ID card
There is still time to apply for any of these documents, including passports (using the one-week or one-day service).
We cannot accept documents like birth certificates, college cards, bus passes, or letters from your mum.
Address
Featherstone Castle
Hall Bank
Featherstone
Haltwhistle
Northumberland
NE49 0JG
Arrival time
3pm
This is when we get actual access to the castle building. If you're driving, you can arrive slightly earlier. But if you're here significantly early, you likely won't be allowed in, and we may not even be there ourselves!
What to bring
- Proof of age
- Bedding, sleeping bag or blanket
- Warm clothes
- Toiletries (e.g. toothpaste, soap, shampoo)
- Towels
- Spending money for Beamish - admission (£19.50), food and gifts
The nearest shops and facilities are in Haltwhistle, 4 miles away (10 min drive). Therefore please try and bring what you need when you first arrive. Someone may offer you a lift back to the shops, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Note that all food is provided, and included in your registration fee. You may bring a few extra items if you wish, but the food for everyone gets priority fridge space.
A note about heating:
The larger bedrooms (Tanngrisnir, Tanngnjostr, Arvakr and Alsvin) are centrally heated. Other bedrooms have wall mounted radiators. The event spaces have fireplaces.
Even so, remember we are in a 13th Century castle in northern England in autumn. Nights in particular can get chilly, and we cannot guarantee everywhere will be warm. So please be prepared to keep warm.
Pick-up from Haltwhistle
To coincide with the following trains from Newcastle on Friday 27th:
Departs 1339, arrives 1431
Departs 1443 , arrives 1527
Departs 1540, arrives 1642
Please note that trains also depart Newcastle at about 20 past each hour, arriving about 15 past the next hour. If you take one of these trains, please wait for the next pickup.
If you arrive after these times, or are travelling via Carlisle, please contact us, and someone will collect you.
Remember we have access to the castle from 3pm. If you arrive earlier, you may have to find lunch in Haltwhistle until we're ready to collect you.
Any questions?
Please contact us, preferably by email. We cannot guarantee that a Telegram post will be read. The address is wildnorthuk@gmail.com

Evening Folks!
Wild North is upon us but there are still a couple more things to announce in the coming days.
Today I would like to announce that we are supporting a charity based in the North East called Pawz For Thought.
They are a long running charity dedicated to helping look after, provide for and rehome animals.
To help raise some money we are having a prize raffle. It will be £1 per strip. Prizes will range from sweets to full goodie bags and plushies!
General donations will also be welcome over the weekend as.
If you wish to know more here is their website: https://www.pawzforthought.org/
Look forward to seeing you all this weekend and I hope we can raise a good sum between this merry bunch
