The Report on Global Technology in Education by UNESCO underscores

- the importance of learning to live both with and without digital technology;

- to let technology support, but never supplant, the human connection on which teaching and learning are based;

- the focus should be on learning outcomes, not digital inputs;

- to help improve learning, digital technology should be not a substitute for but a complement to face-to-face interaction with teachers.

Our children have a right to learn under good conditions and in healthy environments and should be able to concentrate well without the distraction of omnipresent screens and EMF radiation.

The Commission would like to hear your views on electronic displays. After registration, you can write your feedback until 5 February 2025

Europeans for Safe Connections posted their feedback to the "Ecodesign – electronic displays (review of requirements)"
https://esc-info.eu/en/have-your-say-electronic-displays/

What information should be visible on electronic displays?
We would prefer the information about all wireless frequencies it can operate on (including transmit power) and whether they are active at the time. We would also prefer the information about how to switch off wireless frequencies.

#EcoDesign #EcoFootprint #EcoFriendly #Displays #Monitors
Let’s work together to create a healthier, more secure online world. Switch off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and choose safer, eco-friendly connections by embracing cabled alternatives and reducing reliance on wireless networks.

💡 Why wired internet connections matter:
- No use of harmful radiation
- Less electricity consumption
- Increased data security

Messaging will be of all times - but wireless rather a thing of the past. 🌱💻

#SaferInternetDay #GlobalDays
Since the invention of radio and radar, the Earth has been increasingly exposed to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields —from early radio and television to today’s ever-expanding wireless networks.

As technology shifts toward ever-higher and more harmful frequencies, let’s remember the value of older, simpler forms of communication:
🔹 Radio is a passive receiver, emitting no signals itself.
🔹 It operates on lower frequencies, reducing exposure to harmful radiation.
🔹 It does not require constant connection to data networks.

Traditional technologies still have their place in a safer, healthier world. 📻🌍

We warmly welcome you to attend this informative webinar, during which you will have the opportunity to gain insight into these pressing issues and explore measures to protect children's health and well-being in the context of today's digital landscape.
Children and digital hazards – Exciting webinar Feb. 13. 2025

Europeans for Safe Connections organised an interesting webinar on 13 February 2025 about relevant issues for the digital age. The event was titled "Children and Digital Risks" and was particularly aimed at EU policy makers and health professionals.

See the overview of the webinar at ESC´s website
https://esc-info.eu/en/children-and-digital-hazards-exciting-webinar/

4 speakers addressed digital addiction and other psychosocial impacts from the use of screens including mobile phones and social media, as well as the adverse biological health effects of wireless radiation from devices in children. Link to the full two-hour session (including introduction and Q&A sections).

March 8 - International Women’s Day

🌸 On this day, we celebrate women for their strength, although they are more vulnerable.

As our reliance on modern technology grows, so does the need to ensure its safety for all. Women’s heightened sensitivity to environmental factors, including electromagnetic fields, underscores the importance of recognizing and addressing man-made health risks.

esc-info.eu/en/europeans-for-safe-connections-calls-for-better-protection-of-women-against-microwave-radiation/

Let’s honor and support their voices in shaping a safer, more balanced future. 🌍💜

Empowered women empower change—together, we can build a world where technology supports health, equality, and well-being for all.

You woman, reduce your use of wireless!

Phonegate Alert notes with the utmost attention the publication on March 3, 2025 of a study by Santé Publique France (SPF) on the incidence of cancers in adolescents and young adults (AYA) aged 15 to 39.

This report reveals a worrying increase in glioblastoma (serious brain cancer) in this age group, with a significant rise of +6.11% per year over the period studied (2000-2020). This represents an overall increase of around 233% over 20 years!

March 14 – World Consumer Rights Day 🛍⚖️

Consumers have the right to know and the right to choose — especially when it comes to the safety of modern wireless products.

🔹 Many devices expose us to unnecessary radiofrequency radiation: smart diapers, wireless baby monitors, Bluetooth toothbrushes, smartwatches, mobile phones, and more.
🔹 People should be informed about safe usage (e.g., turning off wireless functions at night).
🔹 All wireless products should offer a cabled option and automatically disable wireless functions when connected.

💡 Awareness is power. Informed choices protect health. Let’s demand transparency and safer alternatives!

🌍🌱 April 20 – Earth Day 🌱🌍

This Earth Day, let’s look beyond plastic and pollution — our planet also needs protection from the hidden impact of digitalisation and 5G technologies.

⚠️ The rapid rollout of wireless infrastructure increases energy consumption, electromagnetic pollution, and contributes to environmental degradation.

We call for stricter regulations to protect nature from the side effects of unchecked digital growth.
Let’s choose safer, wired alternatives that are healthier for both people and the planet.

🌿 A truly green future is one that’s also low-radiation and energy-responsible.
