"In most cases, the hearts of those who mix with the people of innovation turn away and they think that the Haqq (truth) is baatil (falsehood) and that baatil is the Haqq."

In a world where it literally feels like people are blind to the truth, Alhamdulillah for guidance. Alhmadilliah for the Qur'an, Alhamdulillah for the sunnah, Alhamdulillah for being upon the manhaj/way of the sahaba.
However we should not become complacent. We must make dua to be firm upon the truth that Allah has guided us to. It is a well known sunnah to ask Allah for firmness & steadfastness upon the truth.
The companion Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم would often say,
يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
Ya Muqalibal Qaloob, Thabit Qalby A'la Deenik
“O turner of the hearts (Allah), keep my heart firm upon your religion!”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 214. Graded as Sahih (authentic) according to Sheikh Al-Albani]

Allah says:
وَمَۤا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُص۪يبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ
أَيْد۪يكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَث۪يرٍ
“Whatever affliction befalls you, it is because of *what your hands* have earned, and yet He overlooks many (of the wrongs you do). (Ash-Shūrā 42:30)
It does not contradict with the essentials of Islam that an affliction which befalls us is a punishment for a sin or evil we have committed.
However, if we were punished for every sin we commit in this world, we would never be free from afflictions.
We would be punished for every action in our everyday life that is displeasing to Allah Almighty, and we would never be free from calamities.
This means that Allah Almighty, Whose mercy surpasses His wrath, overlooks many of our misdeeds and forgives us many times in a day.
In fact, the conclusive part of the verse expresses this reality: “… *yet He overlooks many (of the wrongs you do).”*
May Allah forgive us all .. Ameen

Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān [may Allāh preserve him] said:
“Trials and tribulations are like a flood there is no rescue from it except by holding fast onto the guidance and example of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, and it is not possible for you to hold fast onto the guidance and example of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ unless you are acquainted with it.”

Those who become fanatical towards a particular madhab often leave the narrations of the Prophet (salalaahu alayhi wasalam) for the opinion of their imam/madhab.
The same applies to those who create sects in Islam, such as the sufis or the tableeghis. Most of the time when they're presented with clear narrations from the Prophet (salalaahu alayhi wasalam) that need no explanation, they reject the Sunnah because it contradicts what their group is upon or goes against what pir/moulana saab say.
May Allah allow us to focus on proofs and evidences rather than opinions of men.

Sayings of the salaf...
The great Imam Sufyan al-Thawri (may Allah have mercy on him) said;
“I never dealt with anything more difficult on me than my own self. Sometimes it would be against me, and sometimes it would be for me.”
[Hilyat al-Awliyā’ 7/5]

Brotherhood/sisterhood in Islam is an important principle and from it's benefits is to help one another whenever we fall short, with the condition of not shaming one another but rather being sincere in helping your brother/sister rectify their short comings.
Tameem ad-Daari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Religion is sincerity.”
We said: To whom?
He said: “To Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk.”
[Sahih Muslim]

PROHIBITION OF SITTING ON GRAVES
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
" لأَنْ يَجْلِسَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى جَمْرَةٍ حَتَّى تَحْرِقَ ثِيَابَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ عَلَى قَبْرٍ " .
"If any one of you were to sit on a live coal until it burns his garment, that would be better for him than sitting on a grave."
[Sunan an-Nasa'i 2044, Kitaab al Janaaiz/The book of funerals]
