The ruling of not cutting the hair, nails or any other hair from the body applies to the one who is offering the sacrifice, The prohibition does not apply to the person delegated to carry out the actual sacrifice.
This prohibition appears to apply only to the one who is offering the sacrifice, not to his wife and children, unless any of them is offering a sacrifice in his or her own right, because the Prophet ﷺ used to sacrifice "on behalf of the family of Muhammad," but there are no reports that say he forbade them to cut their hair or nails at that time.

WHAT GOOD DEEDS CAN WE DO?
----------------------------------------------
Among the good deeds which the Muslim should strive to do during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah are:
1) OFFER A SACRIFICE
2) FASTING. It is Sunnah to fast on the ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah,
The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah.
It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ said:
The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays.
(Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 4/205 and by Abu Dawood; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani)
3). SAYING Takbir (Allahu akbar), Tahmeed (Al-hamdu Lillaah), Tahleel (La ilaha ill-Allah) and Tasbeeh (Subhaan Allaah)
Recite them loudly in the mosque, the home, the street and every place where it is permitted to remember Allah and mention His name out loud, as an act of worship and as a proclamation of the greatness of Allah, may He be exalted.
***Men should recite these phrases out loud, and women should recite them quietly.
4) SINCERE REPENTANCE
5) PRAYING MORE
6) RECITING QUR'AN
7) REMEMBERING ALLAH
8) GIVING CHARITY
9) HONOURING PARENTS
10) UPHOLDING TIES OF KINSHIP
11) ENJOINING GOOD & FORBIDDING EVIL
12) DO MORE GOOD DEEDS IN GENERAL
There is much to be gained, so make the most of this opportunity!

"Spreading authentic Islamic knowledge upon the methodology of the salaf."
Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymīyyah said:
“The Sunnah explains the Qur’ān and shows what it means and explains it further … the authentic Sunnah does not contradict the Book of Allāh but rather it agrees with it and affirms it, but it clarifies and shows further (its meaning) to those who fall short in understanding the Qur’ān, for the Qur’ān has subtle meanings that are obscure to many people and in it are topics mentioned in the general sense and the Sunnah explains it.”

Brothers and sisters; before us is an amazing opportunity to draw closer to Allah and have our sins and mistakes of the last year forgiven!
Allah made this month of Muharram as 1 of the 4 sacred months, in which we are encouraged to do good deeds. Fasting is one of those good deeds that we can do; in particular, Allah has attached a huge reward to fasting on the day of Ashoora which is the 10th of Muharram.
***The day of Ashoora (10th Muharram 1439H) will be on Saturday 30th September 2017***
It is also mustahabb (recommended) to fast the day before, on the 9th of Muharram because the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasallam) said:
"If I live to see the next year, in sha Allah, we will fast on the ninth day too." But it so happened that the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasallam) passed away before the next year came." [Reported by Muslim, 1916]
Don't miss out on the reward and be sure to fast Friday and Saturday. May Allah make us amongst those whose previous sins are forgiven! Aameen.
