Earlier this week, during a three-day enforcement operation at Changi Airport, we caught 14 drivers and impounded their foreign-registered vehicles for providing illegal services 🚔🚫 between Singapore and Malaysia and within Singapore.

We take these offences very seriously and will not condone drivers providing such illegal services. Do not use these services; they not only break the law, but also put your safety at risk. The vehicles involved may lack adequate insurance coverage, putting you at serious risk, should an accident occur. ⚠️🚗

Drivers caught providing illegal hire-and-reward services, including cross-border trips without a valid Public Service Vehicle Licence (PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. Vehicles involved may also be forfeited.

Stay safe and stay legal.

We booked 106 vehicles for various offences, during a 5-day island-wide operation at the end of last month. These offences included overloaded goods vehicles, as well as oversized and excluded vehicles (e.g. concrete mixer trucks) travelling on expressways without a permit.

🚚 These heavy vehicles can impede traffic and damage road structures due to their substantial size and weight. Their movement is regulated to ensure safety and convenience of other road users.

👮‍♂️ We take these offences seriously and will continue our enforcement efforts to keep all road users safe.

🚔 Our enforcement officers have been hard at work over the holiday season to keep our roads safe. #GuardiansOfTheRoads 🛡️🚦

In the past two weeks, they conducted enforcement operations across Singapore, focusing on non-compliant modifications such as tinted films, decorative lamps, non-standard number plates and modified exhausts. 🔆🔊 🔢

Their efforts resulted in 86 vehicles being caught for over 165 offences. 📋👮

🚙 LTA remains committed to enforce these violations as part of our broader efforts to make the roads safer for everyone.

#GuardiansOfTheRoads continue to carry out enforcement operations at various locations across Singapore. Recently, 24 vehicles were caught with non-compliant modifications such as tinted films, decorative lamps, non-standard number plates and modified exhausts. Such modifications can distract other road users, compromise safety and violate noise and emission standards.

We remain committed to enforcing against these violations as part of our broader efforts to make roads safer for everyone.
