Good news! Tampines Viaduct opens on Sunday, 19 February 2023, giving motorists 🚗🏍️ a alternative route when travelling from TPE(PIE) to PIE(Tuas) and Upper Changi Road East 🛣️.

🚨Do note that there will be major transport infrastructure works to develop the Changi region. As such, Loyang Avenue (between Pasir Ris Dr 3 and Loyang Way) will be closed 🚧 from 26 February 2023 and Pasir Ris Drive 1 (between Pasir Ris Dr 8 and Pasir Ris Central) will be closed 🚧 from 3Q2023.
Virtual connections are fun, but “rail” connections are even better! 🚆

Can you guess which 3 Thomson-East Coast Line 3 (#TEL3) stations are these Bondee avatars inspired by? 🕺💃

Check out our FB post for the answers tomorrow: go.gov.sg/ltabondee 😉
🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

We are aware of the latest phishing scam involving a website asking recipients to provide their phone number to get a "Metro service VAT refund".

This website misuses the logos of IRAS, LTA and Singpass. Do not provide your phone numbers, Singpass login credentials or click into the website.

#StayAlert and do not divulge your personal information to anyone.
#PSA 🚗🛣️ We’ve completed our latest review of #ERP rates.

To manage congestion which has recently built up at various stretches of expressways, #ERP rates will be adjusted by $1 at 5 locations during 9 specified time periods. The revised rates will take effect from 13 Feb 2023 (Mon).

Rates for the other previously-announced timeslots/gantries remain unchanged. With these adjustments, the number of locations and timeslots charged is still lower than the number charged pre-COVID.

More details above.
#ICYMI From rail to roads, our transport infrastructure is becoming greener and more energy-efficient! #GoGreen
As part of our sustainability efforts, we have replaced more than 99% of the High Pressure Sodium (HPS) street lights under LTA to LED ones. 🌱💡

Not only are LED lights more reliable and consume less energy ⚡️, they also last 7 years longer than the HPS lights. 🙌🏽

#MoreToCome In the coming months, we will also introduce a new Remote Control Monitoring System to allow our street lights to be managed remotely, saving more time and maintenance efforts. 🧑🏻‍🔧

#PSA Mask-wearing on public transport will no longer be compulsory from 13 Feb 2023.

However, commuters, especially the elderly and immunocompromised, as well as those unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory infections, are encouraged to continue wearing masks on their public transport journeys. 😷
Could “plastic” roads pave the way to a more sustainable greener future? 🤔💭🛣

In partnership with National University of Singapore (#NUS), we are trying out new road mixes by upcycling waste plastics on some roads! 🧴🛣️

There are two ongoing field trials at three locations:
1️⃣ Waste Plastics as Additives in LTA’s existing road mix where heavy vehicles 🚚 frequent at Jalan Buroh. In fact, our earlier tests here have shown an impressive 30% improved road performance compared to the existing mixes! 😱

2️⃣ New Bituminous-Plastic Composite mixes at segments along West Coast Highway and PIE 🏍️. If successful, this new road mixes are expected to perform better than or comparable to LTA’s existing road mixes in terms of:
✔️ Improved urban cooling, and
✔️ Reduced tyre-pavement noise!

Hurray to a greener and more sustainable Singapore!
