This program targets current and aspiring human rights (democracy) advocates who have aspirations of forming a grassroot youth movement. To take part in the program, applicants will need to be:-
- From age 21-35
- Residents of Oromia, Amhara, Somali, and SNNP regions
- Who can demonstrate they have previous experience in activism/advocacy
- Who can provide a letter of recommendation
- Willing to take 8 weeks of training and implement their own grassroots civic movement
- Knowledge of the local languages of the community where they do civic activism
- Knowledge of the political and civic environment of Ethiopia
- Knowledge of human rights values and democratic principles
