BSc Degree in Health Sciences field such as Public health officer, Clinical nurse, Medical laboratory science or related field with work experience in TB, preferably in childhood TB or research data collection, & supervision
Competence:-
- Sound knowledge of basic principles of TB program and the challenges associated with diagnosing childhood TB
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with culturally diverse partners
- Computer literacy; competency with Microsoft Office, excel, internet and e-mail systems
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic is required. Additional fluency in the region- or zone-specific language is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues and partners
- Willingness to travel frequently within the zones
- Good interpersonal skills with experience in networking with partners at all levels (region, zones, districts, health facilities, and local community-based organizations)
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently; and to cope with a demanding work environment and to organize and prioritize workload

Technical Director

MD plus master’s degree in Public Health, Infectious Disease or related field of study with proven and demonstrated experience in technical and strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision of a comprehensive TB program
Competence:-
- Concrete and clear understanding and knowledge of Ethiopia’s health care system and National TB program
- Excellent track record of knowledge management, experience in capacity building and utilizing participatory learning methodologies and ability to fully utilize the capabilities of technical advisors under his/her supervision
- Demonstrated experience of more than 10 years in technical and administrative management of USAID and/or other internationally funded programs
- Proven track record in people, partners and project management in complex settings, preferable with international organizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic
- The ability to organize and prioritize with eye for detail
- Past experience with USAID would be an advantage
- Willingness to locate in Addis Ababa and to travel frequently (max 30-40%) within Ethiopia required
