The #US Central Command #CENTCOM said that it killed a senior leader of Al-#Qaeda with a drone strike in #Idlib, #Syria, at 11:42 am on May 3.

While the statement did not mention the identity of the targeted person, nor did it provide any other details, local sources confirmed that the victim is a civilian shepherd "Lutfi Hassan Masto" (60 years old), which was killed while he was grazing sheep on the outskirts of "Qurqanya" town, north of Idlib.
The strike also killed several sheep.
