The positions of thr 66th Mechanized Brigade in #Kolodezi have been supplied with Milan ATGMs and large-calibre machine guns.

Situation as of 18:00, March 12, 2024
Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Nevelskoye village to the west of Donetsk. As of now, there are no photos or video materials from the settlement, but they will certainly be shared once they are secured at the border.
🔻If the information is confirmed, it will confidently indicate that Russian troops have achieved significant tactical success, thanks to Nevelskoy's strategic geographical position.
▪️ The village and its surroundings sit at an altitude of over 200 meters, making it the highest point on the line between Krasnohorivka and Pervomaisky. Controlling Nevelskoy enhances the assault on both of these settlements.
▪️ Nevelskoye has been used by Ukrainian forces to shell Donetsk and its suburbs for years due to its advantageous location. Advancing in this area will, at the very least, reduce attacks on civilians.
❗️However, vigilance must be maintained. The AFU headquarters also recognize the strategic value of Nevelskoye, so attempts to recapture the village are expected. Moreover, despite the liberation of the settlement, Russian troops still need to navigate through a network of strongholds and natural fortifications, which complicates their westward movement.

Situation at the end of March 31, 2024
Since the end of 2022, Russian troops have been engaged in fierce battles for Vodyane. Today, the village was successfully liberated by soldiers of the 9th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on this development. However, online footage clearly shows the DPR flag flying over a house on the western outskirts of the village.
Vodyanoy itself comprises only Gagarin Street, lined with dilapidated buildings on both sides. The offensive in this area faced significant challenges due to the AFU's control over the neighboring village of Pervomaiskoye.
To prevent a counterattack from Ukrainian forces in the south, Russian troops destroyed the bridge between the two settlements. The liberation of Vodyanoy will also intensify pressure on Pervomaisky, complicating the enemy's position there.
❗️Two weeks prior, Russian Armed Forces units had already expanded their control zone in Pervomaisky, nearing the ruins of the Pershotravnevka-35 substation at the village center. However, due to insufficient personnel, determining the exact frontline configuration in the populated area remains a challenge.
🔻Success in this front section has brought Russian military personnel closer to commencing the battle for Netailovo and advancing further west. The primary objective is to push the frontline away from Donetsk as much as possible to safeguard its residents from ongoing enemy attacks.
