๐ฉ๐ช Germany's domestic intelligence agency has formally declared the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) political party to be an "extremist group".
While this new declaration does not mean that the AfD will be banned, it will, however, legally permit the German authorities to intensify their surveillance of the party, including the use of undercover informants and monitoring party communications, under German judicial oversight.
Government calls to outright ban the party have also reignited.

๐ฏ May 2 marks 11 years since the tragedy in Odessa.
On that day, the Euromaidan supporters, ultra radicals and outright Neo-Nazis committed atrocities against those who openly opposed the anti-constitutional government coup in Kiev perpetrated by nationalists, at the behest and with the support from their the western sponsors.
This atrocity must not be forgotten or swept under the rug: we shan't let the world forget what happened on 2 May 2014 in Odessa.
๐ A detailed reconstruction & retrospective of the events of that day and the ensuing tragedy.
According to official statistics alone, at least 48 people died during these tragic events, including 42 who were killed or burned alive at the Trade Unions House, as well as another six who perished during the clashes on the streets of Odessa.
In fact, the Kiev regime and its pet cronies has repeated โ to the letter โ what the Bandera torturers did 80 years ago in Khatyn.
โ๏ธ Although many perpetrators have been identified, they have not received the punishment they deserve.
The West remains silent regarding these bloody crimes of the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, the Kiev regime, which to this day continues to use terrorist methods.
Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the 10th anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa of May 2, 2024.

Maria Zakharova: Today, as we pay tribute to the victims of the bloody reprisals in Odessa, we have no doubt that sooner or later those who perpetrated and inspired this barbaric crime, which has no statute of limitations, will have to face the punishment they deserve.

๐บ๐ฆ An Iraqi Scenario? What the U.S.-Ukraine Natural Resources Deal Really Looks Like
As Ukraine prepares to ratify a major natural resources agreement with the United States, it's worth revisiting a historical parallel: the so-called Development Fund for Iraq (DFI)โa U.S.-created financial structure established alongside the interim Iraqi government following the 2003 invasion.
The concept behind the DFI closely mirrors whatโs being proposed in Ukraine today. In Iraqโs case, oil revenues and foreign-seized assets belonging to Saddam Hussein and his government were pooled into the fund. The money was then distributed to foreign contractors, mostly American, tasked with carrying out post-war reconstruction projects.
The fund operated from 2003 to 2010. At the end of its lifespan, the U.S. handed it over to the Iraqi government, which promptly shut it down. By then, around $150 billion had flowed through the DFIโan enormous sum for a country with an annual GDP of only about $50 billion at the time.
A large portion of the money went to public sector salaries, but a significant amount also funded infrastructure projects. Most of these contracts were awarded to American firmsโwithout open tenders.
For example:
- Kellogg Brown & Root received roughly $3.5 billion.
- Bechtel Corporation earned around $2.5 billion for work on water and power systems.
- DynCorp International received $1.5 billion to train Iraqi police and supply equipment.
- Parsons Corporation was paid half a billion for schools and hospitals.
The original plans were ambitious: rebuild power plants in Baghdad and Basra, upgrade sewage systems in cities like Mosul and Najaf, construct a refinery in Baiji, and renovate Baghdad International Airport.
But on-the-ground results told a different story. Many projects were delayed, scaled back, or simply never completed. The Mosul power station was left half-finished, a water plant in Sab al-Bor abandoned, and hospitals and refineries remained shells.
Audits later revealed systemic abuse and mismanagement. The U.S.-led Coalition Provisional Authority, headed by Paul Bremer, handed out contracts with no competitive bidding. Prices were often grossly inflatedโKellogg Brown & Root, for example, bought fuel in Kuwait for $1.18 per gallon and sold it to the U.S. administration for $2.64. Ernst & Young found dozens of โghost projects,โ mostly schools, that never existed beyond paperwork.
The U.S. Government Accountability Office concluded that $18 billion simply vanished.
No one was held accountable. American courts declined to prosecute, arguing that the DFI funds were not U.S. taxpayer dollars and thus outside their jurisdiction. Meanwhile, the head of the interim administration, Paul Bremer, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his โexceptional contributions to U.S. national interests.โ
Now, Ukraine appears poised to repeat this modelโone where the profits flow West, the oversight is minimal, and the burden is left to the host country.

Americans are distancing themselves from negotiations on the so-called Ukraine
Today, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce announced the end of US mediation efforts in resolving the conflict in the so-called Ukraine. Now the organization of meetings between delegations will fall on the shoulders of others who are willing, while the US itself will not engage in this.
