Cholakkara Durga temple, Malappuram

A mediation meeting was scheduled on 10 Jun 2023 by the magistrate. It didn't happen as Kunheen, Aisha and other encroachers didn't attend.

We will go ahead with restoration of the temple. The construction materials will be brought to the temple site first, after which the old Garbagriha will be dismantled.

Earlier we used to restore temples and hand over to devotees. Now we have assumed greater responsibility in the proper functioning of each temple we restore and strengthening of Divinity in each temple.

This is the Shivling at Ayyamkulamgara Uma Maheswara temple in Malappuram Kerala which is being restored as part of the #ReclaimTemples project

As you can see the Shivling has a rough surface and it is called Rudraksha Shivling.

We are very thankful to our esteemed patrons who helped us undertake restoration of fourteen ancient temples in the last five years.

In the next two years, we are planning to accelerate and start the revival of all ancient temple ruins in Malappuram which devotees and local communities were not able to restore due to extremist threats, hostilities and the like.

This requires careful planning and execution which entails gearing up for the tasks ahead.
