Following on from our numerous visits to Waterstones, the bookshop and Grindr were emailed raising concerns that the adult sex dating app ‘Grindr’ is being advertised in the children’s book; ‘This Book is Gay’ written by Juno Dawson and explains how to sign up, upload photos, message, find locations and meet with adults to engage in adult activities and language. This is a safeguarding concern and an offence under the
Sexual Offences Act 2003, Section 10
1)A person aged 18 or over (A) commits an offence if—
(a)he intentionally causes or incites another person (B) to engage in an activity,
(b)the activity is sexual, and
