All over the country Democrats are running as Independents because they know a "D" by their name means instant defeat. Austin Maxwell, chair of the Rutherford County TN GOP and candidate for Murfreesb
I've had over 12hrs to stew on it...
But I gotta say - being told last night by a major local GOP candidate that this Austin Maxwell security footage "may have been altered or edited" amounts to pissing on my back & claiming a warm summer rain popped up.
In all seriousness, what exactly does an "altered, edited" video on this incident actually look like?
See, this is the problem I & many others have with those in local government.
They talk to us like we are cattle, like we are sheep.
Like we are stupid as hell.
So I'm going to put this out there.....
What does an "edited" video look like? What exactly is being postulated here?
Is this local GOP candidate claiming that someone with the technological expertise took the surveillance video from the gas station and, using CGI, inserted Austin Maxwell, a red truck, and another man stealing a sign - all in an attempt to make Jason Scales look bad?
Seriously WTF is going on here?
And why would a major local GOP candidate run such heavy cover for the local GOP head? Just kidding, we all know the answer to that. Y'all gross. 💩
But I intend to get some face-to-face answers come Election Day this Thursday.

I'll say this -- if this gentleman were to call me in the middle of the night claiming his red truck had been stolen out of his driveway, I would be very tempted not to believe him.
Even though I'm sure he captured the blatant Theft clearly on the security footage at his home, I feel I would be hard-pressed now not to assume that the video had somehow been altered to insert a crime there that did not occur.
How would we know that's even his truck in the video?
Or even the driveway at his house, for that matter?
