Pastor convinced believers to buy the “token from God” — then stole millions

A couple from Colorado — online pastor Eli Regalado and his wife — are facing 40 charges in a $3.4 million crypto fraud case.

They created the INDXcoin token and sold it through their own platform, claiming that “God had pointed to the investment.” At least 300 investors were affected.

According to investigators, $1.3 million of the raised funds was spent on personal expenses, including home renovations — which the couple also claimed were “by the Lord’s will.”
