The Curious Forager | The Nature Club

Join us in reconnecting to the magical, spiritual and deeply intersectional power that is found in nature. In drawings, prints and words, this book makes a compelling plea for the appreciation of both the human and non-human. And uses commonly overlooked elements to illustrate our relationship with nature.

Eutierria is the positive feeling of peace and connectedness with the earth and its life forces.

Join Speak For Climate’s “Earth Emotions” book club as we reflect on eutierria by discussing sections from “Love Letter to the Earth” by Thich Nhat Hanh and “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Making Kin | The Nature Club

'Making Kin' is a collection of personal essays from an ecofeminist lens reflecting on our ways of living and dying here in Singapore. What stories do we tell of nature, of our community, and of our collective selves?

In this book discussion, we will discuss the following:
- The Spell of the Forest
- There Will Be Salvation Yet
- Care is Revolutionary
- Brief excerpts from Donna Haraway's 'Staying with the Trouble'

Please be prepared to actively participate in discussions. You can read the book ahead in advance, or just come with a curious mind!

The Wind’s Twelve Quarters | The Nature Book Club

What do we make of the future? The Wind's Twelve Quarters chronologically marks the writing journey of sci-fiction author, Ursula K. Le Guin, and reflects on our relations to the far-out space and the land on which we stand.

We invite you to join us for this session as we mull over our understandings of the future, and how this relates to nature, gender and the dynamics of power.
