The Enabling Festival 2022
The COVID-19 pandemic has created worlds of isolation, particularly for caregivers and persons living with dementia. The lack of physical interaction has reminded us of the importance to stay in touch.
This festival brings a carefully curated series of thought-provoking and engaging programmes, to showcase the experiences of persons living with dementia and their caregivers. A single touch can help reduce anxiety and make us feel secure, psychologically safe and less alone. It can even reduce pain and the feeling of social exclusion.

What We Inherit x City Book Room
βWhat is an Indian person supposed to look like?β
For Indian women in Singapore, questions that cast doubt on their identities are all too common. Expressions of identity that go against stereotype are often met with confusion and uncertainty β for example, when the race on their IC isnβt βIndianβ, or when they study Chinese in school instead of Tamil.
Join us with three authors from What We Inherit as they unpack their personal essays about Indian womanhood. Look forward to revelations about identities that fall outside of CMIO markers, feelings of displacement and writing as catharsis.
