We're live! Ideas and observations with perspectives from history, the arts, natural law & more. It places old things into a new light; new things into an old light. Makes unknown what was once assumed, or known what wasn't known:

"The battle between the human who wants to catch and tame, and the horse rejecting it, is nothing personal, there exists no moral to the story, it just is. It’s the simple dynamic of opposing interests."

"The triviality trap is the motor of all oppression. It is the force that shuts down new ideas, visions, dreams, passions and talents and replaces them with doubts and insecurities. Action morphs into inaction."

"Last week a Dutch biography of Theo van Gogh (1957-2004) was published, but even after seven years of work his biographer said in a television interview that he was occasionally confused as to why Theo sometimes did what he did. The sole job of a biographer, however, is to understand before writing down the words. His confusion is a characteristic of a broader societal uncertainty about righteousness and what makes a hero."

2024 has already brought us the implanting of the first Neuralink brain chip and Apple started selling a new ‘Virtual Reality’ mask to spend more time in a non-reality. These are nothing but detours instead of shortcuts to Utopia.

A week ago on Sunday morning, one Little Man attracted lots of attention on Dutch public television when he proclaimed that instead of buying art, people should be funding weapons of war.

Memetics, the science of information flows, existed long before the internet, but a Belgian court went against long-held knowledge when it sentenced a group of digital Memetic Heretics last week.

"Language can be used to bring us closer to reality but it can also lead away from it. The information war heightens this risk, but warnings from the past can help us reduce it."

"No outside force, no matter how powerful, can fully activate or deactivate intrinsic motivation."

One of my newest poems, 'Before' was just added to the poetry page:

One day these and my other Dutch and English poems will be collected and published in a print edition.

I am devoting most of my time to researching and writing a history book that will correct 70+ years of erroneous historiography. Lost, censored, destroyed scientific knowledge of the natural world that could embolden and strengthen each individual.

In the meantime, the biweekly blogs will surely keep on coming, plus a podcast every now and then. I may record a Rumble video one of these days.

"X" is not such a great medium due to algo's, censoring spam bots and general convolution, it is a slowly closing door, a dead-end street, hence this Telegram channel.

Old Revolutions is a completely self-hosted independent website, no platform, no Big Tech, no tracking. At the moment, the comment section is turned off until I resolve spam comments.

Glad to see that the documentary I linked to in my last blog, The Coconut Revolution, has been viewed 420+ times since my reference.

To those who have left a tip in my tip jar: thank you 🙏

Keep on keeping on

Dear readers, I am busy moving from Venlo to the Vijfheerenlanden area with my daughter and cat, a new place close to nature where I will be able to focus and write better. Stay tuned and enjoy the new moon today!
