Now that the Mapping series is over, what activity would you propose for History Optional for next two months? For Prelims GS, already daily MCQs and current updates are posted in the group dedicated to GS completely. However, in this groups dedicated to Optional, is there any suggestion/idea?
That is a good idea. May be I will post some significant comments/quotes which cover important debates or question-areas of Paper II. If you all can participate in commenting on that, it would open up good arguments and dimensions.
I will start right away. This activity of quotes needs some participation from your side. The debate, discussion, argument about the quotes will help everyone. There is no point in me giving quotes and explanations every day, while you consume the content passively. It has to be a participatory activity.
There is no particular order here. It will be an open ended activity for Paper II where I will keep providing you quotes which will help you write superior answers. We will try to continue the activity for next few weeks, depending upon your response.

"The Eastern Question is not a matter of treaties and protocols. It is a question of the existence or non-existence of peoples." Comment.

I am really sorry for not being able to reply for last couple of days. Delhi weather has been punishing for over a week now and I was not feeling well. I am recovering now.
I will go through all the comments and questions posted in the group and answer each one of them. Please allow me some time.

No idols, no arms: the Pattanam mystery
The iron-age and post-iron-age archaeological site in Kerala’s Pattanam is revealing the example of a space and time with no caste or institutionalised creed, but with a close connect to nature.

Announcement
I am planning to start a new series of historians' opinions on various issues. The issues will be picked up from the topics on which there is a high probability of UPSC questions.
I keep reading books regularly, and keep finding interesting and very useful points. As a teacher it is my job and as a person it is my passion. So far, I have been collecting them for my students. With this series now, I will keep posting them here regularly. If you can write them down, collect them, and use appropriately, your answers will be very enriched and provide unique perspective.
The name of the series will be Historiography Perspectives
