✅ Both TV and television are correct words.

شما می توانید either...or را برای بیان اینکه کسی می توانید یکی از دو گزینه ی موجود را انتخاب کند استفاده نمائید.
✅ You can have either coffee or tea with your breakfast.

✅ I am fine with either Monday or Wednesday.

✅ You can have either apples or pears.

شما می توانید neither...nor را برای اینکه بگوئید هیچ کدام از گزینه ها ممکن نیست استفاده کنید. با neither...nor نمی توانید فعل منفی استفاده نمائید.
✅ She likes neither soccer nor baseball.

✅ He enjoys neither drinking nor gambling.

✅ Neither you nor I will get off early today.

این حرف ربط به معنی این است هر دو گزینه موجود و ممکن است. به معنی نه تنها این بلکه آن می باشد.

✅ She got the perfect score in not only English but also math.

👉 Some verbs take on a different meaning when they are followed by a gerund or an infinitive.
بعضی از افعال زمانیکه با gerund یا infinitive استفاده شوند معنی متفاوت دارند. افعال زیر را مطالعه کنید.

Notice the difference in meanings.

♦️ Verb: Forget
Gerund: He'll never forget getting sick on the plane. (To look back into the past and think of a memory)
Infinitive: Don't forget to get medicine for your motion sickness. (To not forget to do something)

♦️ Verb: Remember
Gerund: Ali remembered bringing his wallet to the store. (To look back into the past and think of a memory)
Infinitive: Ali remembered to bring his wallet to the store. (To remember to do something)

♦️ Verb: Regret
Gerund: I regret telling you the truth. (To look back into the past and is not happy about the situation)
Infinitive: We regret to tell you that your job has been eliminated. (To not be happy to give bad news)

♦️ Verb: Stop
Gerund: I stopped watching TV. (To stop doing something)
Infinitive: I stopped to watch the sunset. (To stop doing something in order to do something else)

♦️ Verb: Try
Gerund: They tried moving to Canada. (To attempt something as an experiment)
Infinitive: They tried to move to Canada. (To attempt something, but was not successful at it)

A Little

👉 "A little" means some; not a lot, but some amount. "A little" is used with uncountable nouns.
شما می توانید a little را به معنی مقدار کم ولی کافی استفاده کنید. a little همراه با اسم های غیر قابل شمارش استفاده می شود.

✅ That plant needs a little water.
گیاه به مقداری آب نیاز دارد.

✅ We have a little milk left in the refrigerator.
مقدار کمی شیر در یخچال باقی مانده است.

✅ There is a little sunshine peeking through the clouds.
کمی نور از بین ابر ها می وزد.

✅ The recipe calls for a little sugar.
دستورالعمل پخت مقدار کمی شکر می خواهد.

♦️ A Few

👉 "A few" means some; not a lot, but some amount. "A few" is used with countable nouns.
شما می توانید a few را به معنی تعدادی کم ولی کافی استفاده کنید. A few همراه با اسم های قابل شمارش استفاده می شود.

✅ I checked out a few books from the library.
چندتا کتاب را در کتابخانه چک کردم.

✅ There are a few empty tables left in the dining hall.
چندتا میز خالی در سالون غذا خوری وجود دارد.

✅ There are a few politicians I still trust.
هنوز تعداد کمی سیاستمدار هستند که به آنها هنوز اعتماد دارم.


نکته: few و little به معنی تعداد و مقدار کمی است که کافی نباشد. در حالیکه a few و a little به معنی تعداد و مقدار کمی است که برای نیاز ما کافی باشد
