🟡حدود چهل سال پیش که در دانشگاه تحصیل میکردم روزی امتحان تاریخ داشتیم. استاد آمد و فقط یک سوال داد و از صنف بیرون رفت.
"مادر یعقوب لیث صفار از چه نظر در تاریخ معروف است؟"

🔴About forty years ago when I was studying at university, one day we had a history exam,.The professor came and asked just one question and left the classroom.
"How is the mother of Yaqub Laith Saffar famous in history?"


🟡از هر کدام از هم صنفی هایم پرسیدم نمیدانستند. تقلب هم آزاد بود چون مُراقب حضور نداشت اما براستی هیچکس چیزی نمیدانست.
همگی دو ساعت نوشتیم از صفات برجسته این بانوی بزرگِ:

🔴I asked each of my classmates they did not know. Cheating was also free because there was no examiner, but no one really knew.
We all wrote for two hours about the outstanding traits of this great lady:


🟡ازشجاعت او - از مهارت در شمشیر زنی، تیراندازی و اسب سواریِ او- از تقوا، اخلاق و رفتارِ شایسته ی بانویی چون او! خلاصه هرچه که در شأن و شخصیتِ مادرِِ شخصی چون یعقوب لیث صفاری به ذهنمان آمد نوشتیم!

🔴from her courage - from her skill in swordsmanship, shooting and horseback riding - from the piety, morals and decent behavior of a lady like her! In short, we wrote everything that came to our mind about the dignity and character of Yaqub Laith Saffari’s mother.



🟡استاد بعد از دو ساعت آمد و ورقه ها را جمع کرد و رفت . چند روز بعد
موقعِ اعلام نتایج امتحان تاریخ، در تابلو، مقابل اسامی همه نوشته شده بود: ناکام !!!
برای اعتراض به دفتر استاد رفتیم. استاد گفت کسی اعتراض دارد؟ همه گفتیم بله.
گفت: خوب پاسخ صحیح را چرا ننوشتید؟

🔴The professor came after two hours and collected the papers and left. A few days later,
at the time of announcing the results of the history exam, it was written on the board in front of everyone's names: Failed!!!

We went to the professor's office to protest. The professor said does anyone have complaint? We all said yes.
He said: Well, why did not you write the correct answer?



🟡پرسیدیم پاسخ صحیح چه بود استاد؟ گفت: "در هیچ کتاب و منبع و سندٍ تاریخی ، نامی از مادر یعقوب لیث صفار برده نشده است . پاسخ صحیح

"نمیدانم بود ".
همه چند صفحه نوشته بودید اما کسی
شهامت نداشت بنویسد:

" نمیدانم "

🔴We asked what was the
correct answer professor? He said: "The name of Yaqub Laith Saffar's mother is not mentioned in any book, source or historical document. The correct answer was 'I do not know,'" he said.
You all wrote many pages but no one dared to write:

" I do not know”



👈ملتی که فکر میکند همه چیز میداند، ناآگاه است. بِروَید با کلمه زیبای «نمیدانم» آشنا شوید زیرا فردا گرفتارِ نادانی خود خواهید شد".

👉A nation that thinks, knows everything, is ignorant. Go and get acquainted with the beautiful word “I do not know,”because tomorrow you will be caught in your ignorance.
