Hi everyone! Here is a recomended reading for our study club tomorrow. These are the World Federation of Orthodontists guidelines for postgraduate orthodontic education. The paper is published in 2023.

Let me briefly introduce you to our tomorrow’s online guest, Dr. Mauro Cozzani.

I first met Mauro in 2019 in a cozy Italian city by the Mediterranean Sea called La Spezia. This is where his father, one of the pioneers of Italian orthodontics, Dr. Giuseppe Cozzani, many years ago built an orthodontic institute, a beautiful castle-like building of red and white brick on the top of the hill overlooking the sea line. This is the place where Dr. Mauro Cozzani together with Dr. Giovanni Bondi and others are now constantly involved in the teaching process of the younger generation of Italian orthodontists.

Dr. Cozzani has been for decades elevating the standards of orthodontic care in Italy and across Europe. He got his dental and orthodontic training at Boston University in the US. Over the years, he has published over 100 papers in orthodontic peer-reviewed journals. He was a member of editorial boards of many orthodontic journals. He served in the European Board of Orthodontists as an examiner, then as a chairman, and later as a president.

He is the Immediate Past President of the Italian Orthodontic Society.

Tomorrow, Dr. Cozzani is going to talk about postgraduate orthodontic education in Europe and also present his 3 cases of Class III malocclusion.
