On April 18, 2017, Zackary David Randalls, Mark James Gassett, and David Martin Jackson were fatally attacked. Kori Muhammad told authorities that he was trying "to kill as many white males as possible. He said he did not like white men, white people were responsible for keeping blacks down."
Kori encountered Zackary in a work truck; in his confession, Kori said "When I walked up to the truck, I saw a Mexican driver and a white guy. I didn't want to target the driver because he was Mexican, so I shot the white dude." Then Kori walked away and fired his gun at several other men. Mark was hit in the chest as he walked out of a food bank. Kori approached and shot him two more times. David was at a nearby bus stop when Kori found him. He chased David, laughing as the 58-year-old tripped over a curb before Kori shot him twice.

On June 15, 2020, Seth Smith was taking a walk in his neighborhood when a stranger came up behind him and fired a single shot into the back of his head. After several weeks of investigation, detectives arrested Tony Walker for the killing; one of his friends testified that Tony admitted to shooting the 19-year-old, and another witness said that Tony had complained, "A white kid gets killed and the damn whole world stops.
