This post is for those students who haven't yet opened their books
.
If you don't have the books or any material with you and you want to buy any help book or guide.
You can buy any of them in Catch22.

But make sure the helpbook must have 2021 edition with latest papers solved in it.
(For those who can't afford anything, MegMentors can provide soft copy of any kind of notes or books currently available with us free of cost, you just need to email megMentors@gmail.com )
Start your preparation journey with Meg03 British Novels.
.
Do just 5-6 novels.
1. Pride and Prejudice
2. Wuthering Heights
3. Great Expectations
4. Heart of Darkness
5. Tom Jones

Use YouTube and listen to the summaries of the novels and then take last 2 years paper to understand the pattern.
I have shared video lectures of coursehero and their pdfs in the channel. Make use of them
(Don't take more than 1 week to finish Meg 03) some students can finish it in 2 days also.

Comments/Answers

IGNOU Sabiha:
Please read little about the author and the time it was written

Sumbul Khan:
1. Narrative technique, about author’s background/age/era/time period.
2. Novel’s first publication date. Author’s year of birth and death year.

Prepare 5 novels in detail. One extra novel if you have time.

Write all the novels’ name along with their author and their publication year. And author year of birth and date

Make a list this way for revision just before exam

Like- Pride and Prejudice (....) by Jane Austen (.....)

____
How to write answer

IGNOU Kalyani:

For the answering the novel questions:

Divide your answer in
Intro,
body
and conclusion.

Try to write in paras or points, depending on your choice of writing.

1. Name of author, year when published (to be mentioned in intro part of answer)

2. What is the purpose of the novel (optional)

3. Summary of the Novel (should be in your knowledge, but dont write in detail in your answer unless asked, just mention in 4 to 5 lines, very briefly.. if required)

4. Name of all the charechters, specially main charechters.

5. How charecters are introduced to you by author.

6. How charechters are related to each other.

7. Themes of the Novel.

8. Give references to some incidence in your answer (atleast 1 should be there)

9. If you remember you can quote some lines from the novel (not necessary, but if you can do then it gives good impression to your answer)

10. Dont forget to write conclusion (4 to 5 lines sufficient).

I assume you already have a syllabus with you.
Once you are done with meg03...
...
You can start meg04.
Meg04 is very tough if you don't do previous year papers analysis..

Almost 70-80% of the paper repeats every year. Just go through last 2-3 year papers and mark the questions repeating and finish them first.
