To all the literature lovers.
Q) Why MEG01 is tough and amazing at the same time?
A) The poem or song has rhythms and rhymes in them which captivate the mind.
A general audience will be overwhelmed while reading or listening to it.
But a true literature scholar knows why such things are happening with the audience.
In MEG01 we are supposed to do technical analysis of the poem. Where we break the poem in stanzas then in lines and then we fundamentally break the words into syllables to understand the feet and types of meters used by the poet.
By diving deep into the stressing of syllables we are able to figure out what is so catchy in this text and why do people love it.
.
For the general public, poem is mere combination of rhyming patterns but for a literature scholar it's just zeroth level of something big.
.
On my recommendation :)
Watch this video you will understand why a song whose language and meaning is not clear to us is still captivating the minds.
https://youtu.be/luWjLfTw0lk
Even a translation of text won't suffice the actual text
Ma hitha lagama dawatena
Huru pemaka patalena
Ruwa nari
Manahari
Sukumali numba thama
