Today, the Tamils celebrate Puthandu (the Tamil New Year) and the Sikhs celebrate Vesakhi. Other Indian communities like the Malayalees, Telugus, and Bengalis observe their respective New Years around now too. I wish all who are celebrating a joyous and blessed year ahead! go.gov.sg/kgwper
Very saddened by the passing of former Malaysian PM Tun Abdullah Badawi. We did much together to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Singapore and Malaysia. In 2007 we held the first ever Leaders’ Retreat in Langkawi – a practice which continues between our successors. I extend my deepest condolences to Pak Lah’s family and the Malaysian people. https://go.gov.sg/81w0lv
Spoke to union leaders last night, together with NTUC President K Thanaletchimi and Sec-Gen Ng Chee Meng about the potential impact of the US tariffs and how Singapore must respond to this upheaval of the global trading system. I am confident that we have the resources and resolve to take on these challenges, and we will emerge from them stronger. go.gov.sg/79g6fy
Had a dialogue with 900+ public officers from various ministries and statutory boards today. Their concerns and issues reflect a deep interest in our shared future, and how the public service can do better to help Singapore and Singaporeans navigate beyond #SG60. https://go.gov.sg/auqobd

Today is Good Friday – a time of sombre reflection for Christians, as they mark the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Wishing all Christians a blessed Good Friday and Easter weekend. To everyone else, have a good long weekend. go.gov.sg/w6zx0u
Today, I introduced the PAP slate of candidates in Ang Mo Kio GRC, as well as the wider AMK family. Darryl David, Nadia Samdin and I will stand in AMK GRC again, and joining us are Jasmin Lau and Victor Lye.

Henry Kwek and Yip Hon Weng will seek re-election in Kebun Baru SMC and Yio Chu Kang SMC respectively, while Ng Chee Meng will stand in the newly-formed Jalan Kayu SMC.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank Gan Thiam Poh and Ng Ling Ling, who will be retiring as MPs. They have put heart and soul into serving residents, and helped to build a better AMK.

I wrote my first Facebook post (go.gov.sg/lhl-first-fb) 13 years ago. I have since widened my avenues to connect with you – my YouTube channel (go.gov.sg/lhl-youtube) being the latest addition. Thank you for following me through thick and thin, through good times and bad on my social media all these years! go.gov.sg/hf60gh
Visited Hougang 1 Mall yesterday with Darryl David, Jasmin Lau, Nadia Samdin, and Victor Lye. It was pouring outside, still the mall was busy with residents out and about with their families, doing their shopping or having a meal together. Thank you for the warm welcome! – LHL

Began the day bright and early with a visit to Ang Mo Kio bus interchange and MRT Station. Met many residents as they started their day – active seniors on their way to the gym, parents taking children to pre-school, and residents commuting to work. In this uncertain economic environment, the PAP will do our best to look after Singaporeans, as we have always done before. youtu.be/MSGqDeAeyZE
Dr Ng Eng Hen and Dr Maliki Osman have announced their retirement from politics. I thank them both for their years of service and contributions to Singapore, and wish them all the very best in the next phase of their lives. https://go.gov.sg/or6t8r
