PM Lawrence Wong has announced his new Cabinet line-up. This comes after he led the PAP to victory in GE2025.
There are significant changes. DPM Gan Kim Yong, together with Coordinating Ministers K Shanmugam, Chan Chun Sing, and Ong Ye Kung will oversee four key areas: the economy, national security, public services, and social policies. New, younger ministers will take on more responsibilities. There is a good balance of experience and fresh perspectives, and progress in leadership renewal.
I am glad Singaporeans have placed their trust in PM and his 4G team to lead the country. We are facing many global uncertainties. In such times, we must come together as a nation to overcome the challenges, find new opportunities, and secure our place in the world.
I will continue to support PM in my role as Senior Minister, and am confident Singapore will grow from strength to strength under his leadership.

Happy to join Jasmin Lau at her Seletar-Serangoon MPS last night. Jasmin has a team of old stalwarts who are helping new members and volunteers as they support residents. I thanked them for their hard work and encouraged them to continue doing their best, serving with pride, and improving the lives of Ang Mo Kio residents. As one PAP, we must always do our best to deliver for Singapore.
Was sworn in as a member of PM Lawrence Wong’s new Cabinet this evening. I am honoured to continue serving as Senior Minister, and look forward to working with both experienced team members and promising fresh faces in this new term of government. We will do our best to ensure that Singapore can continue to thrive despite all the challenges ahead. go.gov.sg/2z6giw
Deeply moved by this Berita Harian article about Emyr and Prajesh, two Singaporeans who were in the group of Tanjong Katong Primary School students on a class trip to Mount Kinabalu when the 2015 Sabah earthquake happened. 10 years on, they returned to Mount Kinabalu to complete the trek to the summit as a tribute to those who lost their lives.

Congratulations to the 121 new graduates from Duke-NUS Medical School. Nearly half the graduates had made mid-career switches to study medicine. We will do our best to create multiple paths for Singaporeans to fulfill their potential, and build a society where everyone gets help to overcome life’s difficulties. This is key to our vision of an inclusive future for Singapore.

I will be on leave for the next ten days. We are halfway through the June school holidays. I hope our students are having a good time with family and friends, and catching up on their hobbies. Will update if I spot anything interesting while I am away!
Tried again for flying bird shots at Bird Paradise 🦅 I found it very hard, as birds fly so swiftly and unpredictably. The shots may not be “perfect”, but the challenge of capturing the birds in flight was very rewarding! Thanks to everyone who shared your bird photography tips with me! go.gov.sg/f96p1r

The government has called on the private sector to stop using NRIC numbers to authenticate persons. All of us should also practise good habits to protect ourselves, for example by using strong passwords or security tokens, and staying vigilant against scams or unauthorised access of our personal information.

Saddened to hear that a 30-year-old NSman collapsed and passed away yesterday after booking out from Maju Camp, where he had earlier participated in NS Fitness Improvement Training. As we commemorate #SAFDay25 and the unwavering commitment of our servicemen and women in defending Singapore, we also want to protect their lives, and training safely remains a top priority.
