Especially seeing that he also had a handfull of Tech inclined people in the audience.

I spoke about the steps every tech newbie needs to take to begin a career in tech.
Some of the steps I mentioned are;
1. Find a problem within industries..
2. Learn a tech skill that can address it
3. Get a job or build a business around the skill.
4. Offer your services for free. Serve, Intern, volunteer and ask for recommendations in return.
5. Learn how to sell. Build your portfolio.
6. Be visible. Use social Media. Network.
Before I stepped down, I took a few more minutes to compel the already established techies to join us at DEXA in the mission of upskilling Africans everywhere in Africa.
Help someone begin a career path in tech. Pay attention to the newbies around you.
It's not just about you. It's more about our continent and her people. The African people.
We can curb cyber-fraud and unemployment through tech education. We can rapidly increase our individual economy and create more opportunities.
It was an exciting time. I had fun. I connected with new people.
