The next stage after finalising a concept sketch is making it functional.

🖼 Orthographic views showcase finer details that may not be fully depicted through 2D paintings, while the different perspectives help the team envision how different parts come together as a whole.


🔎 By breaking an object down into components, the 3D artist can easily determine:

🔹 Where each element should be placed
🔹 How far apart they should be
🔹 How much space is needed for animation and VFX

The development process from the initial sketch to the 3D model is certainly a taxing one. Presenting the final 3D models for the Luminous Base structures 💎


While high poly models are the truest reflection of our artist’s vision, in reality, adjustments will be made during integration for better in-game performance—especially on mobile devices📱

Ultimately, the last step is to add in the final textures to match the game’s overall aesthetics and prepare for implementation.

Drawing her bow, eyes locked on her target, her determination radiating from her gaze. As if she’s broken free from the shackles that bind her to this vengeful path.

This sketch will be finalised as the main splash art for the character’s preview and will be used for other assets such as character banners and loading screens. Hence, a more dynamic posture like option D would bring in that moment of excitement visually compared to a more stand-still one like A and C.

Atalanta was the best huntress in all of Atanesia. Sharp as her arrows can be, her highness had the beauty of a goddess and a golden heart.

She was adored by all of Atanesia for her kindness and love.

Soon after tragedy fell upon Atanesia, she was never the same again.

Here’s a preview of Atalanta’s running animation test.

Rigs are like the bones/skeletons for the 3D model. Once the rigging process is complete, our animation artists will manipulate these ‘bones’ to create movements with the models.

Animation takes a long time, as there are many different sets of movements to implement, like combat, idle, teleport, and spawn animations - just to name a few. These animations are unique for each hero, as they should capture their defining characteristics. For example, Atalanta strides gracefully, while Lorie would have a more childlike gait.

Do note that this is just a test run for her striding animation - some parts like her cloak and skirt are not fully animated yet. Stay tuned for the final output!

Atalanta’s character design was inspired by the eponymous swift-footed huntress in Greek mythology. The lush green garments of her base model represent her close ties to nature, while the golden accents indicate her royal heritage.

We’ve retained the Greek goddess’ characteristics in our version of Atalanta, who is portrayed as a strong, beautiful, and capable heroine in the Ancient Realm.

Her trusty sidekick, Sofía the snowy owl, accompanies her on adventures, providing intel and aerial support in battle.
