No Vishaka guidelines at religious places
The Supreme Court on 22 July 2019 dismissed a PIL seeking directions to implement sexual harassment committees in religious institutions. A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said judicial orders can't be passed on this plea as Visakha guidelines cannot be extend to religious places.

World Bank study on PMGSY
A recent independent World Bank assessment of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) rural roads programme meant to establish ‘farm to market connectivity’ shows that the PMGSY roads, in fact, “triggered a shift from farm to non-farm employment” in the habitations studied between 2009 and 2017 as with roads in place, people chose employment opportunities outside their habitations over expanding their farming.

India enters 37-year period of demographic dividend
Since 2018, India’s working-age population (people between 15 and 64 years of age) has grown larger than the dependant population — children aged 14 or below as well as people above 65 years of age.

Biggest reason for migration in India
The most common reason for migration in India is marriage. The finding, which was part of the 2011 Census, was published recently and showed that 46% of the total migrants moved because of marriage and of these, 97% were women. As many as 20.58 crore women in India migrated for marriage, the data shows.
