Last night I had a tough impostor syndrome episode. It's a long story and tiresome to explain in English, not my mother language, but anyway (even more when no one should care about this).

Long story short, my passion is video production and editing but I have no academic formation and of course don't make a penny out of this. I've been making videos for sooo long, and last years felt in love with vlogging, but my tools are what they are.

I film most of time with my iPhone and sometimes with a GoPro, that's it. Recently felt in love with a better camera ("entry level" still tho, you know how expensive this stuff is) but it costs a LOT of money. I mean around ~1k€ for body, grip and a lens. Though we have and could get that money without taking it from our savings with my extra paycheck on July, there are still priorities, like getting a mortgage in a future.

We're currently living on a (expensive) rented old, small apartment and want to get out of here as soon as possible.

Why the hell am I daydreaming with an expensive camera when there are way more important things in our way. It is our future what we are talking about.

Not to say this is just for an amateur girl like me, not like I would make any money out of this. I use my expensive PC to work and that's okay, but this is a completely different story.

Yet, this wouldn't make my vids any different. My hands are the same, my brain is the same, my editing skills and storytelling are the same.

I've been looking to some other vloggers and thinking about "how can I make my vids more in this style", but at the end of every line of thought there is always a "why do you even think it will be different? you tried many times and failed every one of them. get real."

I hate myself.
