I started a podcast/course series called Herb of the Week with the intent to learn 1 herb a week for a year to cover 52 herbs. When I began learning plants, like tarot, I was over enthusiastic with where to begin and how to apply all that I was learning. It was my first teacher who gave me sage advice: learn an herb a week for a year so that I could pace and discipline my relationship building, only work with that one plant in the week, study it and make medicine with it, at the end of the year I would know 52 herbs inside and out.
My first herb of the week is Cayenne and I love how satisfying it is to choose a plant and have so many syncretic correspondences come up. The Italian word for new year is capo d’anno. Capo (head, boss) Anno (year). The botanical name of cayenne is capsicum annuum (there’s the cap, the head of the ram and the year announcing it is arriving). This picks up the work we have been doing with the astro-herbalism series on Vibe⚡️Rant and takes it deeper. The first episode is on the house, 1hr and 40 mins on Cayenne, fire element of Aries and a little history on Tomsonian philosophy of vitalism and cayenne’s roll on the expansion of the American frontier.

Fabulous Moon-Venus conjunction in tropical Taurus tonight.
Exalted Moon with Venus in her domicile? Yes please.
What's your ultimate comfort, your softest sweater, your sweetest delight? What helps you feel supported, loved, comfortable and helps you open your heart up? *sips some sweet cacao*

I find this sweetness to be a lovely reminder of how important it is to slow down and enjoy life, to find beauty and harmony in the chaos.

I'm quite positive most of you are aware that today is when Pluto made its first ingress into tropical Aquarius. This is a significant energy shift, especially right after that super-charged new moon, immediately following the equinox, not two weeks since Saturn changed signs as well?

With all the uncertainty in the banks and stock markets, riots in the streets of France, escalating conflicts, weird alien propaganda, AI integration into more and more areas of life, certain 2020 narratives unraveling, there's an AWFUL lot to discuss.

However, I think that this Moon-Venus conjunction at the heart of it all is reminding us to not lose focus of what matters...
