About the Company:
Berar Finance Ltd is a deposit taking non-banking finance company (“NBFC”) focused on 2-wheeler, used car financing and personal loans. The Company is a fast growing NBFC and is backed by a private equity firm. The Company aims to diversify into additional secured and unsecured lending products over the next few years.
It is currently looking to hire a professional for the position of VP/AVP,Technology based out of Nagpur, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for program implementation, application implementation, IT governance, IT operations, business support and IT risk management. He/she will also be exploring new technology partnerships which will help the Company scale rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
Should have logical understanding of LOS , LMS.
Building IT strategy and ensuring its execution across the organisation;
Drive technology applications/software development and digital transformation for the organization;
Defining and implementing IT policies, procedures and best practices including information security management practice & IT Audits;
Handling IT applications, infrastructure and security of the firm;
Supporting Board of Directors, Executive Management and credit teams in decision making and help build analytics tools / dashboards for effective risk management;
Building and maintaining relationship with stakeholders across departments and ensure smooth IT support to their functions;
Setting-up Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery sites for the Company;
Building and maintaining good relationship with vendors and co-ordinate and implement projects with different business units;
Assimilate new technology solutions, lead digitisation initiatives and other enterprise level technology roll outs; and
Work closely with QA, Professional Services, Developers to drive product development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The Applicant should have the following experience/ qualifications:
BE/ B.Tech in Computer Application or MCA from top tier institutes;
8 years of experience with at least 3 years in financial services domain. The position requires a candidate with the domain knowledge of Financial Services preferably working in an NBFC / housing finance company / bank;
Exposure to all sub-domains of IT and hands-on experience of handling medium to large scale IT projects;
Strong decision making and multitasking skills; and
Extensive team leading experience.
