PAID LIVE MUSIC OPPORTUNITY FOR LOVERS OF FREEDOM!
Good evening ladies and gents- I am 26 year old drummer, bassist and singer with over a decade experience of gigging, touring internationally and hosting/ organising festivals and events. I am also a street musician that pulled in 1000s of people a night and earning hundreds of Β£ nightly in London pre-lockdown. See www.instagram.com/cambelmusic for more.
I am recruiting a band to travel around the UK and play songs about freedom, peace, harmony and truth. Most of the time it will be popular covers and we can play your originals too if you like! This will be a paid opportunity as we will seek fundraising before, throughout and also donations as we play.
We will hire a bus of somesort to travel with our portable amps (I have several+ a portable drum kit) and also a banner and will organise a team of leafleters for every town to promote the cause (www.jamforfreedom.com) and also to assist the Great Re-Opening. We will also visit the re-opened businesses along the way to support them and potentially get some sofas to kip on and showers to use. This is likely a 7-day a week gig playing afternoons, mornings and evenings to get the most exposure possible, most donations and to give our nation something to smile and think about.
We have already done our first event 2 weeks ago in my hometown of Watford and it was a great success, with local media coverage and genuine public interest as well as opening the coversation. As it is considered a 'protest' we are allowed to play under the current legislation.
We will essentially move from town to town, city to city, high street to high street for a couple of weeks and potentially longer. Potentially meeting and jamming with local musicians as we go! Picking up connections memories and tips!
All tips will be split equally between the members, I even have a card machine so we can maximise donations.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience of playing in functions bands and a wide repetoire is important, as we will not have time to rehearse.
- Able to get by without earning a huge amount.. hopefully we will get tipped big but just a warning.
- A driving license is useful so we can take turns to drive.
- Portable equipment and instruments. This is not essential as we already have some, but it will be useful to not rent further equipment.
- Strong worth ethic and mentality as well as a cool and calm temperment. This is important as we may deal with vocal audiences that may be against us, police that could approach us and we need to show the world and our nation that we can be calm under pressure whilst putting on a fantastic show that changes lives and changes minds.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
Please drop me a message or email to contact@cambelmusic.com with:
-Your name, number, email address
-Your location
-Your availability (can you be on the road next week for 2 weeks straight, what day can you start?)
-What portable equipment and instruments can you bring and play?
- What is your professional experience and repetoire?
Even if you don't fit the criteria please drop me a message so we can build our community of freedom loving, free thinking artists and hopefully jam with you on one of the stops on our tour of these beautiful lands. You deserve freedom, and our people deserve live music!
God bless and speak soon.πβοΈ
