🛑 Two friends were walking through the desert. During the journey they had an argument and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt but without saying anything wrote in the sand "today my best friend slapped me in the face."
They kept on walking until they found an oasis where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped was drowning but his friend saved him. After being saved from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "today my best friend saved my life"
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you wirte on a stone why?"
The other friend replied: "when someone hurts us, we should wite it down in the sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. but when someone does something good for us we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

دوست دیگر پاسخ داد: وقتی کسی اذیتمان میکند، باید آن ها را روی شن و ماسه بنویسیم جایی که بادهای بخشش بتواند آن را از بین ببرد اما وقتی که کسی به ما خوبی می کند باید آ« را در سنگ کنده کاری کنیم تا هیچ بادی نتواند آن را از بین ببرد.

Did you ever have to call for help?
Were you ever in a situation that was an emergency? It is good to know what to do in case of an emergency. You should always know how to get in touch with the police and fire departments. I have heard stories where very young boys or girls have called the police and saved their friends or family members lives. Because they knew just who to get a hold of.
If you see a fire, you should call the fire department. A lot of tragedies have been prevented because the calls have been made quickly. It is important that emergency vehicles arrive very quickly. That is why those vehicles have sirens.
When their sirens go, it means to get out of the way.
Policemen, firemen and ambulance attendance are trained to handle very difficult situations. They often save people's lives. They go through a lot of training to become good at what they do. They never panic in emergencies.
For your part, you should keep emergency numbers near the phone or know what the emergency numbers are. Where I live, there is a special number that you call for any emergency. We teach that number to everyone, even very tiny children.
It is important to remain calm if you need help. If you call an emergency number, you have to be able to speak clearly and tell the person you are talking to, exactly what the problem is.
I hope you are never in an emergency situation, but it is a good idea to be prepared.

من داستان هایی شنیده ام که در آنها پسران یا دختران خیلی جوان با پلیس تماس گرفته اند و جان دوستان یا اعضای خانواده شان را نجات داده اند.
برای اینکه می‌دانستند دقیقا به چه کسی باید مراجعه کنند.
اگر یک آتش سوزی ببینید باید با اداره ی آتش نشانی تماس بگیرید.
از خیلی از اتفاقات ناگوار بخاطر اینکه تماس ها سریعا برقرار شده، جلوگیری شده است.
این مهم است که ماشین های اورژانس (ماشین های مربوط به نهادهای مرتبط) خیلی سریع برسند.
بخاطر همین است که آن ماشین ها آژیر دارند. وقتی آژیر آنها روشن می‌شود به این معناست که باید از سر راه کنار رفت. نیروهای پلیس، آتش نشان و آمبولانس به گونه ای آموزش دیده اند که از پس موقعیت های خیلی سخت برآیند. آنها اغلب جان افراد را نجات می دهند.
آنها تمرین های بسیاری را پشت سر می گذارند که در کار خود خبره شوند. آنها هرگز در مواقع اورژانسی دچار هول و وحشت نمی شوند.
نقش شما این است که شماره های اضطراری را نزدیک تلفن نگه دارید یا آنها را بلد باشید.

When they are about halfway to New York, Jeannine hears a weird noise. "Oh no," she says, realizing that they have a flat tire.

Jeannine pulls the car over and climbs out. Sure enough, their right rear tire is completely flat.

Then Jeannine takes off the flat tire.

"Wow Mom, how do you know how to do that?" Sarah asks in wonder.

Jeannine just laughs. Then she puts the spare tire on. Sarah says, "Mom, who are you?"

The entire tire change takes only 10 minutes. They both climb back into the car and Jeannine says, "I'm so sorry honey, but we can't drive all the way to Albany on this spare tire. We're going to have to stop and buy a new tire. We might be late for your concert."

Joe Richards finished school when he was 18, and then his father said to him. 'You've passed your examinations now, Joe, and you got good marks in them. Now go and get some good work. They're looking_for the clever people at the bank in the town. The clerks there get quite a lot of money now.'
A few days later, Joe went to the bank and asked_for work there.
A man took him into a small room and gave him some questions on a piece of paper. Joe wrote his answers on the paper, and then he gave them to the man.
The man looked at them for a few minutes, and then he took a pen and said to Joe, 'your birthday was on the 12th of June, Mr. Richards?'
'Yes, sir, 'Joe said.
'What year?' the man asked.
Joe said : 'Oh, every year, sir.'
