The ward was used as a ceremonial reception room. At the end of the XVI century, after decorating with paintings on a golden background, it acquired its name. The painting contains detailed narratives depicting scenes from the life of the Tsarina of Byzantium and Georgia, as well as the Russian Princess Olga. Several unique fragments can be considered in the restoration of the middle of the last century, and many parts were lost during earlier updates.
