A SERIES OF WEBINARS ON ELT METHODOLOGY for English teachers from primary, secondary, and private language schools

The English Language Teaching Department at the International Balkan University in Skopje is organizing a series of ELT webinars for English teachers working in primary and secondary schools, as well as in
private language schools.

All webinars will be held online through the Zoom platform.
The Zoom link will be emailed on the day of each webinar session.

Spring Semester Registration for Second Cycle Studies
BEYOND EUROPEAN BORDERS – IBU STUDENT AT JORDAN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The IBU International Relations Office is honored to announce that it has sent the first Erasmus+ student beyond European borders under the Erasmus+ KA107 Project with Jordan University of
Science and Technology (JUST).

Our student Agron Imeri, from the English Language Teaching Department is spending the spring semester of the academic year 2020/2021 at JUST in Irbid, Jordan in the framework of the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies Program.

We wish the student a wonderful Erasmus+ experience in Jordan and expect that this mobility will strengthen the cooperation ties between IBU and JUST in future projects!
Vice-Rector of International Balkan University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shener Bilalli attended the 11th Bosphorus Summit which was held at Conrad Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey on 8-9 March 2021. Dr. Bilalli delivered a presentation on the session "Disruption in Higher Education: New Pathways for Teaching".

International Balkan University (IBU) was among the sponsors and supporters of the 11th Bosphorus Summit.
IRO ORGANIZED AN INFODAY AND SKOPJE TOUR FOR THE ERASMUS+ INCOMING STUDENTS

The International Relations Office organized an InfoDay and a tour of Skopje for the Erasmus+ Incoming Students in the spring semester 2020/2021.

On the InfoDay, the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic, provided the students with information related to the academic calendar, grading system, exam regulations and visa procedures as well as an introduction by the IBU Student Mentors, who were appointed to the Incoming Students in order to facilitate their stay in Skopje.

The next day, the Erasmus+ Incoming Students, accompanied by their Student Mentors, visited several of the city’s landmarks, including: Yigit Bey Cultural Center, the three remaining Caravanserais – Suli An, Kurshumli An and Kapan An, Bezisten, Chifte Hammam, St. Dimitrija Church, the Stone Bridge, the Ristich Palace and the Mother Theresa Memorial House. During the Skopje Tour, the students also experienced some traditional food and beverages from the variety of cultures in Skopje, including the Macedonian dish Tavche Gravche, the Albanian dish Flija and the Turkish dessert Helva. The students also received welcome gifts which included a traditional clay bowl with traditional Macedonian snacks and a β€˜Martinka’ for good luck.

In the spring semester, the International Balkan University is a host to 14 incoming students under the Erasmus+ KA103 Exchange Program, originating from a variety of countries such as: Bangladesh, Egypt, Romania, Serbia, Spain and Turkey. We wish the students good luck and an amazing experience in Skopje!
