IRO ORGANIZED AN INFODAY FOR THE ERASMUS+ INCOMING STUDENTS

The International Relations Office organized an InfoDay on 4 March 2022 for the Erasmus+ Incoming Students that will be IBU’s guests for the spring semester 2021/2022.
On the InfoDay, the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic, together with the International Relations Office, provided the students with information related to the academic calendar, grading system, exam regulations and visa procedures as well as an introduction by the IBU Student Mentors, who were appointed to the Incoming Students in order to facilitate their stay in Skopje.
In the spring semester, the International Balkan University is a host to 26 incoming students under the Erasmus+ KA103 and KA107 Exchange Program, originating from a variety of countries such as: Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Poland, Spain and Turkey. We wish the students good luck and an amazing experience in Skopje.

Photography Workshop with the professional photographer Rromir Imami held at "365 Art Gallery"
Students of the Faculty of Art and Design had a great opportunity to benefit from the Photography Workshop which was organized with the professional photographer Rromir Imami on Monday, 7th of March 2022 at the IBU's "365 Art Gallery". They learned professional photography techniques and interactively participated in several practical activities during the workshop.
Rromir Imami is a very successful photographer from Skopje who lives and works in Switzerland. During his professional career, he has attended the "New York Institute of Photography" and he is the founder of "RRIM Photo Studio".
IBU expresses its gratitude to Mr. Rromir Imami who spared time and shared his experience with our students, which will surely contribute in their professional skill development.

The Rector of International Balkan University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Dursun Erdem had a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Prof. Dr. Sahiba Gafarova in Baku on 9th March 2022.
Rector Erdem informed Speaker Gafarova on the mission and vision of International Balkan University, as well as the recent developments in the educational process and the plans for the future growth of the university.
Speaker Gafarova expressed her congratulations for the successful activity of IBU and its role as a truly international higher education which connects academia and students from all over the world.

IBU INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OFFICE ORGANIZED A SKOPJE TOUR FOR THE ERASMUS+ INCOMING STUDENTS
The Erasmus+ Club from the International Balkan University organized a tour of Skopje on 11 March 2022 for the Erasmus+ Incoming Students in the spring semester 2021/2022.
The Erasmus+ Incoming Students, accompanied by their Student Mentors, visited several of the city’s landmarks, including Yigit Bey Cultural Center, the three remaining Caravanserais – Suli An, Kurshumli An, Kapan An, Bezisten, Chifte Hammam, St. Dimitrija Church, the Stone Bridge, the Ristich Palace, and the Mother Theresa Memorial House.
During the Skopje Tour, the students also experienced some traditional food and beverages from a variety of cultures in Skopje, including the Macedonian dish Tavche Gravche, the Albanian dish Flija and the Turkish dessert Helva. The students also received welcome gifts which included a traditional clay bowl with traditional Macedonian snacks and a ‘Martinka’ for good luck.
