This is so bizarre. We attended a different church than usual for a Christmas Eve service, they were singing worship songs with random stuff on a giant screen behind them. This photo of a guy in a mask stayed on the screen for several beats as the lyrics were up. The pastor kept referencing masks and covid in his sermon. It felt like programming.

Kindness is never wasted when its your own people. Ive never once heard someone say they regretted mending relationships with their parents or old friends. In this world of materialism, you'll slowly realize that only the people around you really matter, everything else is just noise in your life. Its a blessing that you should be thankful for to spend time with others. Go out of your way to make it happen.

If youre alone, its time for you to find a local farmers market or used book store. Ive never met someone at a farmers market who wasn't willing to chat, and most our friends ended up coming from there.
