I’m talking full surrender to the LORD, showing you believe He is good and you trust Him with your life.
Fully surrendering to His plan instead of yours.
99% don’t ever do this… actually, make that 99.999%.
The reason is because deep down, we actually don’t trust God. And the reason we don’t trust Him is because bad things happen in front of us and we truly don’t believe that He is fully good.
I realized this about my own beliefs a few years ago and it is life-changing. But I still struggle with it.
It’s scary.
We’ve been sold this lie about the American dream that we are supposed to have this certain “property,” the family that we always dreamed of and all the good things but the Bible never promises any of that.
That’s because it’s not about you.
It’s about Him.
I wrestle with detoxing from the American dream literally every day. And like I said, what’s behind that is fully not trusting Him and what He’ll do if I fully surrender. I’m just so happy that I’m actually AWARE of the struggle so I can work on it and I’m looking forward to the day when it’s not a struggle anymore.
