In the illustration above you can see a manipulation at a support area. Let’s go through it. The price was in an uptrend (rally, base, rally) then the price wanted to test the demand zone but failed to penetrate and another rally happend. The last high was broken and the new one was created, then the price broke below the previous structural high point where retail traders went short, the price then reversed and has trapped these sellers. At this point retail buyers entered long, but the price dropped to the support. Here you can see why a lot of traders are one step behind the price movements. The support was tested again and the price formed equal lows (double bottom pattern) then the neckline was broken which has attracted more buyers. Now there is a lot of liquidity between the demand zone and the support level. The price has penetrated into the demand zone triggering the buy limit orders and early buyers’ stops. Now the market is clean and the price could continue to the upside.
