I found this nice little fellow hopelessly lost in the water, with no hope for survival, so I decided to save him and place him on a plant.

This reminds me of how Jesus came to us, helpless with no way to save ourselves, and rescued us!

This is Skageflaa, an old farm on a mountain ledge 250 meters above the famous Geirangerfjord in Norway. 🇳🇴

People actually lived here, and small children were tied with ropes to the housewalls so that they would not fall off the edge.

In 1918 the last people moved out, and it is now a popular tourist attraction.

I really like what Jesus said, like in Mark 2:27 when

"He said to them, The Sabbath day was made for man and not man for the Sabbath day."

Jesus is so wise.

Here He shows us that the Sabbath commandment was not given to make life hard. Man was not made for the Sabbath.

But God knows that working 12-14 hours a day - 7 days a week is not good for the body.
So the Sabbath day was made for man.
As a help - not as a prison.

We see that for example Paul often worked on the Sabbath by preaching the Gospel. Maybe he instead rested a little every day, maybe another day.

And the Pharisees were so unhappy with Jesus for doing things on the Sabbath, that they didn't think were allowed - not understanding the point with the Sabbath and that "the Sabbath day was made for man and not man for the Sabbath day."

God is so wise and so loving.

Everything He has told us is for our benefit and there is always a loving logic behind it!
